First lens: XF 23mm f2 R WR
So this lens came to me as part of the X-E3 kit. And I’ve got to say, I expected it would be a good little lens, but I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I have.
Admittedly, when you have no other lens for a camera system, your hand is somewhat forced, but that is no bad thing. I liked the idea of settling into a new system with just one prime, rather than what is usually referred to as the ‘kit’ 18-55 lens.
I wonder if that’s part of the reason I got hooked quickly. Could it be the fun of having no other options? A lot of people will say that creativity is often fuelled by limitations, and I think there’s a huge amount of truth in that.
